This Trail Will End

I am walking on a trail. I started on November 19, 1999, and I don’t know when it will finish. I am told that at the end of the trail there is a cliff, where everything I know will end. A part of me believes that while everyone else will reach the cliff, for some reason, I will be able to keep walking. But, I am not exempt.

This piece will end. And so will this sentence. You already knew that when you started reading. When you were reading did you notice how the font looked on your screen? Were you really there? If you knew that this would end, would you have read it differently? And your trail? The one you’re walking right now.
